Therapeutic, Counselling and Crisis Support Centres

Emunah’s 12 therapeutic, counselling and crisis support centres provide professional emotional and practical support to children, individuals and families facing trauma, crisis and complex personal challenges.

Across Israel, Emunah operates 5 therapy centres, 3 crisis centres and 4 specialised multi purpose centres providing tailored therapeutic, emotional and family support services.

Many of those accessing our services are experiencing trauma, family breakdown, emotional distress, domestic challenges, financial hardship or periods of personal crisis. Our centres offer a safe and supportive environment where children, young people and adults can access professional counselling, therapeutic interventions and ongoing support.

Services are provided at a subsidised rate to ensure support remains accessible to those who need it most. Support is tailored to individual circumstances and includes individual, couple and family counselling, therapeutic programmes, group support, crisis intervention, assessments and workshops.

Through this holistic approach, Emunah helps individuals and families strengthen emotional resilience, improve wellbeing and build greater long term stability and support networks.

Our Centres

The Sarah Ronson Crisis and Intervention Centre

Sderot

The Sarah Ronson Crisis and Intervention Centre in Sderot provides specialist emotional and trauma support to children, adults and families living in Sderot and communities surrounding the Gaza border.

The centre provides individual, couple and family therapy, crisis intervention, trauma counselling and additional therapeutic support. Its work has developed in response to the profound psychological impact of repeated rocket fire, conflict and the continuing effects of trauma on local families.

British Emunah established the original service with the support of the Ronson Family Foundation and has remained closely involved as the centre has grown. British Emunah also helped support the move into a much larger, modern facility, enabling the service to reach substantially more people.

Doris & Bertie Black Therapy Centre

Afula

The Doris and Bertie Black Therapy Centre is a purpose-built therapeutic facility on the campus of the Sarah Herzog Children’s Centre in Afula. Established in 1991, it provides dedicated rooms in which therapists and social workers can work privately with children and families.

Individual, family and parenting therapies form an important part of Afula’s wider model of care, helping children address trauma while also supporting the adults around them.

The Therapy Centre is not a separate campus from Afula; it is one of the buildings within the British Emunah-supported Sarah Herzog Children’s Centre and forms part of the long history of UK investment in the site.

The Guggy Grahame Centre for the Prevention of Violence in the Family

Tiberias

The Guggy Grahame Centre for the Prevention of Violence in the Family provides specialist counselling and therapeutic support to individuals and families in Tiberias and the surrounding area who are experiencing domestic abuse, family violence and other complex difficulties.

Professional counselling offers both emotional support and practical guidance. In recent years the centre has also responded to war-related pressures, including the needs of mothers and children affected by long periods of reserve duty and family separation.

The therapy centre was established in 1991 and bears the name of Guggy Grahame, a former President of British Emunah. Her name connects today’s specialist family support directly to the history of British Emunah leadership in the UK.

Sam and Hilda Marks Counselling Centre

Nahariya

The Sam and Hilda Marks Counselling Centre is a community-based therapy service housed within the Emunah Community Centre in Nahariya. Established in 2016, it provides professional counselling and emotional support to individuals and families from the surrounding area.

Its location close to Israel’s northern border has made the service particularly important during periods of insecurity and war, when families have faced prolonged uncertainty, displacement and trauma. The centre was renovated in 2025.
