In 2014, I spent a week volunteering at Emunah's Children Centre in Afula with Bnei Akiva, and then had the opportunity to re-visit in 2016 with Immanuel College as a counsellor on their Israel Trip.  It is a special place that provides warmth and stability to children and youth who need this support more than anything, and it was clear to see how dedicated the staff are to ensuring that they have that nurturing and loving environment that they would otherwise not be experiencing.

Similarly, in Southern Israel, the Neve Landy Children's Village is a residential home to 75 at-risk children.  The village has grown enormously over the last 20 years since it opened, and now homes children from all over the country, Ethiopia, and Russia. Emunah Neve Landy strives to provide a nurturing and accepting home to those who reside or work there, both children and staff, it constitutes a safe and protected place that allows children to flourish and grow emotionally and cognitively.

The Welfare Ministry requires Emunah Neve Landy to expand the central kitchen.  Due to a general change in guidelines, the kitchen no longer meets the current policies of the ministry.  Therefore, the money that will be raised as part of this fundraiser will be directly used to renovate the kitchen facilities to meet these new requirements.  Ultimately, this will enable the residential home to continue caring for the Happiness and healthy development of the children that reside here.

The London Marathon will take place on 2nd October 2022 and any donation amount towards this fundraiser will go a long long way to contributing towards this renovation to better Emunah Neve Landy
